It took me a while to read this beautiful book. The cover is even more beautiful in person. I was in a slump for this specific genre of book so I held off on reading it until I could give an unbiased but I finished it last month and forgot to update my review. Honestly I adored this book more thank I thought I would.
The characters were fleshed out and very well made. However, this was not ride or die book for me. Specific areas were dragging for me and it made me want to stop reading. I'm glad I held out and continued this book.
I do recommend this book as this author has such a beautiful and unique writing style. It felt like I was actually in Victoria Park and that I knew every single character such as the sweet and kind Mona. Mona is such a well built character and I'm glad that the author did write her character the way she did.
In conclusion, this book was a lovely break from the fantasy genre and although it wasn't my favourite book, it is still a good read.
