Victoria Park is a wonderfully written and moving novel about a community over the course of a year. In twelve short linked stories, the lives of various diverse residents of the park criss-cross in subtle, revealing and almost surprising ways. This book demonstrated and reminded me about the link each of us, as individuals, have to others in our life time. How betrayal, friendship and love can come from the strangest of places but should be embraced when offered. A moving book that really left its print on my heart and one I wouldn't forget any time soon. I will carry the lesson this book has taught me for many years to come. Not only that but it has also taught me to open my eyes and recognise those around which have an impact on my life without even recognising it myself.
