What a fabulous little read!
Victoria Park is about several households situated in and around Victoria Park and the people who live in them. You have Monty, an eccentric, gay, tailor, who dies all of a sudden. Mona and Wolfie who run the little Italian deli where everyone picks up their tasty treats, however Mona is suffering with dementia and Wolfie is running around after her. Luca and his wife and their two children. His wife is having an affair with his best mate, his son likes to wear girls clothes and his daughter is a very talented artist who loves to draw pandas. There are many others who live locally who you find out have some kind of link to everyone else, but it is the park that brings them all together, whether that be in happiness or in sorrow.
Each month is almost like a new story, about someone else but also a catch up on everyone else that has been mentioned before. And the ending, well that just rounds up the year!
