This book was such a great read and I loved how all the characters on the street intertwined and their stories were woven within eachother. Although the book touched on some very upsetting topics I thought it was a very well written book and sensitively done. A real sweet book which made you appreciate the smaller things in live and love. I thought the cover was so wonderful and really made you think about what goes on behind the windows in a street and also made you reflect that although you may think you know your neighbours to say a friendly hello or exchanged pleasantries it makes you wonder how well you truly know people and how easy it is for people to hide their true feelings. I loved the cultures it explored and the descriptive writing was wonderful, it really made you feel you were at the centre of the characters lives. 4 stars given.
