Victoria Park follows the lives of 12 individuals who are loosely connected to one another. There is one thing they do have in common, their lives are centered around Victoria Park, London.

Some of the themes in the book are very modern and relevant. Others discuss prejudice and racism. Some chapters and characters you love and wish the story developed them more. However there are other chapters and characters which I did not connect with. I did like the subtle connections between the characters, and how not all the chapters were fluid. You may have forgotten a character, and then be reminded of what their life was and what is happening in the now.

The reason this was not a 5 star book to me was due to the fact that I felt no closure for the story, not even for Wolfie, the first and last character we meet. I wanted to know more about the lives of each character. Each one I feel deserved a book of their own, a more complex story line to get stuck in to. Overall, the writing was lovely and the overall story enjoyable.
