This book had a nice concept and appeared a little unusual to other books I have read. At first I was unsure about the book, however after reading the first look I was drawn into the story from the first chapter.
After reading the first chapter though, sadly I found it hard to get into the book and the story.
The book is set around the stories of twelve residents who all live around Victoria Park in London across twelve months of the year. Although each chapter is told from a different perspective, each of the stories were also designed to interlink with each other is some way.
This idea appealed to me, however I did feel this was not explored enough. Because each chapter was relatively short, I was struggling to connect with the characters and by the end I was always left with a feeling of what happens to them and how are they linked.
Overall this book had a really nice concept and the book cover was also nicely designed. Maybe this one was just not for me.
