I got to about halfway through this book but it just wasn’t working for me which is a shame as I absolutely loved the premise but it just fell flat for me. I think what I wanted to see throughout was more of a connection between the characters. I awarded 3 stars because of some the characters stories and I really felt for those few. I know they are a community and this is ultimately what this book is about but as I said before, it would have been nice to have more of a connection between the characters. I think as well, the writing style wasn’t for me.
If you like books about community, then by all means pick this book up and give it go but if you’re looking for that connection, this book probably isn’t for you. I’m sorry this wasn’t more of a positive review but I have to be truthful about what I’ve read. All in all a 3 star read about community with some characters you feel for.
