I was looking forward to reading this book, however I can't say it was the most enjoyable to read - I definitely don't think it was bad, but it didn't grab my attention like I hoped it would (I love the front cover!).

I found the structure of the book, with each chapter told from a different character's perspective, a bit hard to follow at times and there didn't seem to be a plot. The stories were written well and they had a good premise, with all the individuals being based around Victoria Park, and some of the stories were interconnected, but I feel to really connect with the book/character, there should generally be more information about each. For example, I felt empathy for Mona and Wolfie's story, and perhaps would have liked to read more about this couple.

I'm also not familiar with the Victoria Park area and so perhaps this book just wasn't personal enough for me. I think the book was written well and I like novels where there is a timeline, but this one just didn't wow me I'm afraid!
