I really like this book from first impressions. The cover is attractive and eye catching. The writing in itself feels quite wholesome? I feel like it could be written about a grand parent or an older relative who is dedicated to their trade and has their own secret recipes.. it feels like a traditional and warm novel. As a londoner myself it also caught my attention with the title of the book. I feel like that in itself would make me more intrigued as well as the familiarity with the places mentioned. I'd like to read the book further and see what else it entails but on first impressions I'd definitely say the cover seems warm and inviting and the description and writing style of the book makes me feel like an older relative is reading or telling me a story. It feels comfortable and cosy and I'd like to read it further. It also made me crave salmon!
