In Victoria park the community is rich and varied but Mona and Wolfie an elderly couple are the lynch pin of the story.
The action follows a year in the lives of all the characters who live there, Elena, Luca and their two children, Lydia and Freddy, Veronica with her wayward daughter, Monty, Bettie and Mia, Alice, Vicky, Rose and a whole host of other people populate the tapestry of Victoria.
The story was fascinating and ended too soon, a year was not enough as I was really getting into all the dramas and minutiae of their lives, that is my only complaint, I liked and appreciated the characters and their individual situations and I just wanted to know more, everyone was interconnected and sometimes without even knowing it their lives overlapped.
A well crafted and quite clever novel weaving all these disparate elements together into one whole.
