I really liked the description of food, the way it was described simply made my mouth water and stomach rumble, like how does the author manage to do that? I also like how the food interconnects with the main plot line. The characters also seem so raw and the way they think was quite relatable and they actually felt like I was reading the mind of a real, living person, which makes it really personal for the readers.
I’d say this is a wonderful way to kick off the author, or Gemma Reeves’ career. A bright and relatable tale about scrumptious food and human relationships, what more does one need from a good book?
To anyone out there that might be considering to read this book, I would come right up to you and hand it to you for you to enjoy.
In conclusion, Victoria Park is a kind of book that you can enjoy sitting by the fireplace and sipping a warm hot cup of tea. Very warm and definitely worth the read!
