I wasn’t going to bother with the first look as the cover put me off straight away, reminded me of a book my gran might read. But at the mention of Victoria Hislop and Greece I had to give it a chance. Unfortunately I was very underwhelmed, Hislop is a hard act to follow, all the same I found the writing amateurish
