The plot seems like nothing special, just the same old family dynamic/personal struggle story that you would probably like if you like that sort of thing, but I would never pick this up in a million years.
The cover conveys a light, easy holiday read that a middle-aged woman would pick up by the pool side but the blurb is trying to be more than that. I feel like either the blurb needs to lighten up or the cover needs to convey a more serious tone, otherwise this comes across as a frivolous holiday romance.
