The cover is quite beautiful and it drew me in. However, the first chapters didn't impress me much. I loved the Greece setting, especially since I haven't read books that set in Greece (well, anything that sets in modern day, I've read plenty of Ancient Greek novels). I had trouble to identify with Naomi, which hindered my interest a lot. In the end, Villa of Secrets seems a bit too much of women's literature for me to enjoy it - I feel like I'm too young to be a target audience, and it costs a lot as I cannot identify with the main character's problems and conflicts. The writing is good and the setting stunning, so while Villa of Secrets isn't for me, I'm sure many will enjoy it.
