This book did not take me long at all to read. I loved the way it was written as diary entries it made it differ from all the other books I have read lately. The story surrounds the relationship between a woman and her grandmother who was a freedom fighter during the Second World War and Nazi period. The book gradually reveals the secrets that Rebecca’s ‘Bubba’ has never told any of them. It was a really gripping read that kept me interested right from the beginning. The history that is told throughout the book also made it even more enjoyable for me. I do think however the cover doesnt represent the true appeal of the book. I would really like to read more from the author and would recommend.
