This wouldn’t usually be my first choice of book but it was gifted to me by a friend so I thought that I would give it a go as I love discovering new authors and I also love coming across a book which I end up loving which I wouldn’t have necessarily chosen myself but unfortunately this wasn’t the case with this one.
My first impressions of that cover were that it was boring however after reading the blurb I was slightly more impressed and thought that I could end up enjoying it after all.
The writing was mediocre. It was well written but it just did nothing to grab my attention and it lacked substance I also found it quite boring in parts and I found myself scan reading certain chapters just to rush through it. Not for me unfortunately.
