The book commenced with a lovely description of the current time, which led neatly to the review of times past.
I found the expanse of descriptors of the environment a little distracting, but by the end of the short preview I was keen to keep reading.
The basis of the story appears to be the deterioration of the sibling relationship between two sisters and the breakdown of the sanity of the grandmother following the death of the sisters parents. Therefore am assuming the basis of the story will be the review of this breakdown of relationship and the journey to rebuild it.
The use of Italian names for grandparents was unexpected, but made sense due to the storyline being based in the Mediterranean.
