This was a pretty bland opening. From what I saw, the mystery element was poorly set up, the dialogue was really stilted and honestly the MC, Ivy, got on my nerves. After 25 pages that really says something.
I'm not sure why Norse mythology has been thrown into this book, from what I can tell it'll be jarring and not fit because since when where Norse myths a major part of Britain? The cover is quite attractive, however and I would pick this up because of it.
