A book with the promise of witchcraft is always an instant draw for me. The lead character has an air of mystery around her - even to herself! She knows nothing about her past, and the fact that she was a foundling makes this even more interesting. She’s also a character who clearly knows how to stick up for herself, and does so in spectacular fashion right from the off. She’s a character I’d love to learn more about, as well as her mysterious mother!
