I generally find a lot of enjoyment in a good retelling/reworking of a piece of folklore or fairytale especially when done well and approached with respect.
Add into the mix a spooky atmosphere and the pressure of the environment that Ivy seems to find herself in, I think you could likely be onto a winner.
Generally, I don't go in for things that have 'busy' covers like this one, but I think the subject matter and the style of writing may just remind me that I shouldn't judge books solely by their covers.
