From the start this book had my interest.A young seventeen year called Ivy
had been abandoned as a baby and grew up in care. She had always felt an
outsider she didn’t have friends and told no one at school ,work or when she
went to self defence classes that she was in care. She only had a locket with a short scribbled note in it from her mum saying that she was abandoned for
her own safety that there were evil people out to kill her and the best defence was to keep her existence secret
Ivy had tried to find her mother and was told on line that a man remembered
a young mother leaving the island of Bardsay in west Wales with a baby and returning with the child. Ivy has written giving her address .phone number and work address in a letter to the woman on the island asking for her to get in touch when in work she receives a call from her mum saying that she has giving her information out and put herself at risk as those who wish her harm now know where to find her
