I am a huge fan of a fantasy novel and I love to read a bit of folklore too (I'm Scottish, there is plenty here!).
I am drawn to a female antagonist anyway, but Ivy sounds fierce. I want to know the story behind why her mum left and I need to know why her mum is warning her off the lighthouse.
This blurb definitely doesn't give much away, but I would love to read this book.
