The cover had me instantly wanting to read this, the bird, the lighthouse and the image below the bird enchanting me to this book. The first chapters are interesting, Ivy is a character I like and the dilema she's in with wanting to know her birth mother is one that interested me, especially as there's a mystery around the letter she wrote to Ivy. The first chapters are also interesting and easy to read, with a lot happening, a lot of creepy things happening which really made me want to read more of this and I just couldn't stop reading, wanting to find out what would happen with the creatures and creepy way someone was acting!
