Looking at the cover, I can't tell if it's aimed at young children or adults. The figure makes it seem like a kids book (and is also a bit depressing!). The colors are ok but in my opnion it's too dark and the design is basic and crude. I read a lot of YA books and I love mythology inspired stories,, but this isn't giving me the witchy vibes I was expecting from the description. I'm currently reading Her Dark Wings, which has a gorgeous, sumptuous cover. I'm glad I red the extract, as I loved the writing... but no, I wouldn't ever pick this up in a bookstore. Also reminds me of the Nazi eagle emblem, which I can't imagine was intentional, but put me off too. Sorry
