Firstly, the cover of the book is striking. If I saw it in store I'd pick up the book.
I'm not much of a fantasy reader, but I have been trying to broaden my horizons. When I first read the synopsis I worried the book would be set in the past, I'm glad it is set in modern times.
The book looks like it will cover a lot - discovery, romance perhaps, even dealing with misogyny. I hope to read more.
