Definitely not what I would have chosen to read but on starting it I rapidly became hooked. From the blurb I was expecting this to be far more fantasy and not a modern day story although it may turn that way further in. But from what I've read so far I don'[t think that will be an issue. I'm already wanting to go deeper into this to see how it unfolds.
