Not my usual choice of story line however, this was a well written engaging story. The main character was a likeable young girl, who is trying to find her mother. The author sets the scene incredibly well, so much so you can imagine yourself there with the main character. As the story progresses there is a darker more 'scary' vibe, well written and interesting. I think the book is aimed towards mid teens, mainly due to the topic of the story, but as an adult I found it enjoyable, easy to follow and quick to read. There were a few twist and turns towards the end of the book, however I did feel that the ending let the book down somewhat, the storyline seemed to go slightly off track and change almost. Although saying that the story held my interest throughout, and I enjoyed the book. This book is worth a read and is probably aimed at mid teens/ young adults.
