i found this book ok, it started well, young ivy desperate to find her birth mum, when strange things start happening, shes attacked by a random guy at work, then again by some other strangers, when she finally tracks her mum down she kinds herself drawn into a world of magic, and witches, i found the book has too many questions for me and i wasn't really impressed with the ending (but i guess its open for a sequel) i think it would be a good read for a more young adult, encouraging people to not bottle things up and let the darkness consume them etc, the characters are ok. i would of likes more of toms back story, i found the descriptions of the island well written, i felt the time she spent with her mum felt about rushed, fantasy books are not really my go to choice so people who like them may enjoy it more than me, i found it was ok and nothing really bad about it,
