I enjoyed reading this book. The first few chapters had me hooked. This book is very different to what I would normally read, I have not read many books with magic and witches, but I loved this one.
The book follows the main protagonist Ivy, who is searching for her birth mother and is determined to find out why her mother abandoned her as a child. Whilst at work, Ivy receives a phone call from her mother stating that she is in danger and not to come to Aberdaron looking for her, however, Ivy still travels to Aberdaron to find her mother and things take a turn......
This was a dark read full of twists and turns. I liked the writing style and thought this was a quick and easy read. I liked how the author incorporated feminism in this book full of Welsh mythology and Arthurian legend. The characters were great and I liked Ivy's friendship with Tom. Overall a great book, with the ending, indicating a possible second book. I definitely recommend this book if you enjoy, witch, folklore, magical and mythical novels.
