I’d like to start off by saying that this book was extremely well written, I found the writing style to be engaging and descriptive, the story-line was articulated perfectly and the characters were well fleshed-out and enjoyable to read.
I loved the myth and folklore aspect to this read, as I absolutely adore Arthurian legend I was thoroughly hooked, and I was intrigued by the Welsh mythology aspects also. Overall, the mix worked well for me.
The main character, Ivy, was super relatable for me and is part of what had me hooked on this book, I have to have a relatable character and this book smashed that out the park. I also adored the other characters such as Tom (very witty) and the other witches.
A witchy, feminist retelling soaked in myth and folklore was exactly what I needed in my life.
Overall, a really enjoyable read for those who like witches and YA!
