'Waking the Witch' is a delightful story and you can truly see the love Burge shows for this topic of Wales (aa!!! My country!!) And witchcraft. It was such a short read, coming to just under 300 pages, and I wouldn't take back the hour I spent enjoying the writing.
Overall, I feel like everyone should give this book a read - especially as spooky month is impending and we all need a nice witchy read to lose ourselves in during this current climate. The characters of Ivy is definitely worth the read so I hope people do run out and buy this book from their local bookshops to support this fabulous author who shares the love and mystery of Wales with the world.
