The opening pages of this novel have already made me feel engaged in the lives of these characters, as well as what promises to be a tension-filled story. Any psychological exploration of how people are affected by their past experiences and how the decisions they make can have unexpected repercussions will always attract my attention, so I'm sure this is a book which will be right up my street ... now I just have to hope I'll be lucky enough to win a copy and have my first impression confirmed!
