The front cover of this book is striking, with it’s dark sky suggesting the tone of the story it holds within. Upon reading the first impression, I was instantly drawn to the character of Duchess, the deep and troubled daughter of Star. I suspect that we will see a darker side to Duchess as the story progresses! I’m looking forward to learning to what extent Duchess’s future and fate have been sealed by the 30 year old murder of her aunt and the aftermath it had on her mother’s life.
