I found it hard to get past the writing style of the first chapter. If the whole book was like that, I think I'd struggle with it. I also got very confused by all the different names and couldn't really work out what was going on. I don't mind being intrigued by a book, don't need everything spelled out for me but the first look left me feeling lost.
