I have to admit that this book was a real slow starter for me. I just couldn't seem to get into it, but all that soon changed.
I felt really strongly about the characters. Vincent King I felt sorry for from the start. I felt like there must have been more to his sad story that the author wasn't letting on.
I was annoyed at the mother of Duchess and Robin and really really hoped for a happy ending for them....I actually cried a bit when they met one of the potential foster families.
I was angry that their foster family left them out so much.
I was curious about Darke and all his involvement.
When got to the end, I had an inkling that I knew who was responsible...I was correct and was pleased with myself for guessing.
