I found this to be an emotional read and really got drawn in to the lives of the characters and what they went through . I can’t really say what genre I would put this’ll in to be honest as it’s part crime thriller, family drama, friendship , there’s bits of everything in there . I would t say it’s an easy read but it’s captivating all the same and is a bit gloomy in some parts as they have not had easy lives to contend with. I loved the setting of the book and got a real feel for the community and I was very surprised to find out that the author actually likes in the uk as it is written so well . I’ll admit that at first this book didn’t appeal but I’m so glad I decided to read it and would r commend it .
