This book will not suit everyone, especially thoughs who enjoy a pacey thriller and that style of writing.

The book is a sparsely written slow burner, once I had got used to this style of writing it did become a little easier to read.

The story has a few twists and turns throughout to throw you off the scent, with a very good twist at the end. The story is written in 4 parts.

We are introduced to the main characters of the story early on in the book.
Their lives, jobs, relationships with each other and how their decisions affect the lives of those around them. Secrets, lies, and fear.

A murderer in prison for 30 years for killing a 7-year-old.
An innocent man? Did the police get it wrong?
Two children growing up in difficult circumstances, their mother suffering from her own demons and unable to cope with her own life, let alone her children's.

A chain reaction sets off events that will affect family, friends and townspeople alike and will bring upon tragic circumstances to all it touches.
