The opening to this book is set in the past when a terrible crime was committed (what exactly that is we don’t know) but we know the victim and the perpetrator. Thirty years on and we are seeing what effects this is having on the town where the crime was committed and 2 individuals in particular. The writing style is good, not giving away too much and posing questions which makes us want to read more and find out what happened. The book shows some of the main focus will be on 2 young characters Duchess and Robin who are having to deal with after effects years later of the crime that took place. Walk is a likeable character who clearly has some demons he has to face which makes me want to read more!
