Really enjoyed this
I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. I wasn’t really sure it would be my kind of story but after a slow start it reeled me in and I found it hard to put down. Sissy Radley is killed by Vincent King thirty years ago and now he is being released from prison. Star, Sissy’s sister, hasn’t had an easy life and is struggling. Her daughter Duchess has been hardened by her difficult upbringing - half outlaw, half adoring big sister to Robin, she tried to hold her family together. Unfortunately her actions cause a chain of events that threaten all their lives.
There are a lot of big characters in this tale and a lot of heartache. The plot weaves gently together with an ever present sense of foreboding but with a glimmer of hope. A really good read!
