I think this is a brilliant book for young children, either to be read to or for new readers who will find the words and sentences easy to read. I love the colours and illustrations inside, and the penguin is a great choice as character, as they’re fun and popular.
My five year old nieces enjoyed the author’s last book, and will enjoy this one just as much. The book itself is of a great quality and would make a great present to someone.
The questions before the turn of the page will allow some interaction between the reader and child to make the experience more fun. The repetition will also help with children’s enjoyment whilst reading the book, and allow them to remember the story. It’s a fairly simple idea, but is executed really well. Would highly recommend this book for young children and new readers.
