My son, as I expected, loved it. It was fun and whitty and even though he is only almost 4 he adores jokes or anything funny or silly.
The pages were filled with fabulous illustrations which he found hilarious, pointing at the penguin doing silly things or wearing silly things.
He also began to join in due to the books naritive being very repetitive in its format ie "what's black and white" again and again which is great for kids as they can join in reading the book.
I think this will definitely be a firm favorite and one for when he wants a joke to tell to his friends.
Overall I think the narrivite and format of the book is very clear and easy for children to understand and read and the illustrations tell the story if the child is not quite of a reading age yet like my own son.
I'd love more books like this for him In fimilar format!
