I thought this book was funny and cleverly written for young children. I like the way the joke is expanded each time until the last time when the answer is something completely different. Norman is a loveable character and will appeal to young children.
The illustrations in the book will grab a child's attention and do a good job of corresponding with what the words on the page say.
My children are too old for this book now but I could imagine it being a favourite bedtime story for a younger child, probably between the age of 3-5. It's the type of book where once you have read it a handful of times the child will be able to pick the book up and 'read' it to themselves by using the pictures to remind them of what is happening in the story.
Overall I would recommend it for younger children, it is definitely one I would have considered buying for my children.
