This book has adorable illustrations and fairly simple text which is great for young children. The size of the book is slightly larger than I expected but a perfect size for a parent to share with a child during bedtime stories.
The text is unusual as the description is on the right hand side of the page with the answer on the left hand side.
Lots of children like the What is? format of stories and jokes. Children like funny stories and interactive stories all of which this book has.
I would suggest that the age range for the child is from about 18 months to 4 years as my little one is 20 months and loves it. The younger children would like the simplicity, picking out Norman the penguin and some of the things he has in the story eg the scarf, whilst the older children might remember the repetitive text. Both of these things will help the children to remember the story.
