I’ve read a book from this author before and I think this one is better than that one (it’s about a bear). I quite enjoyed reading the story to my little one although the repetition is maybe a bit too much and does make it a bit monotonous. I can’t say I would rush to pick it up again.
My 3 year old I think liked the pictures but didn’t especially enjoy the story. I think the humor and sarcasm of it is aimed at slightly older readers, maybe for 4/5 year olds because my 3 year old didn’t really get it at all!
I also think it’s aimed more at boys than girls, with the references of being cool and skateboards etc
There’s not a lot more I could say more about this book to be honest. I think it’s aimed at older children with quite a cute penguin character and nice folouful illustrations but not really my thing or my young toddlers thing sadly. I will keep it fit when she’s older though
