What's fun and short, and bold - this book!
Another brilliant book from John Kane. Loved the previous book so much, and as soon as I saw this one available - I knew it was likely to be just as good.
Turns out this one is even better. This one is funny, and massively interactive. It is such a fun read, for all involved. It's one of those books where you are shouting out loud, trying to guess the next page's contents. It was an absolute joy to read - I loved the characters. The pages were beautiful, all the illustrations are really nice, and although they are simple, they are excellent for young children - lovely bold pictures with nice bright colours throughout. The illustrations are perfect, and go hand in hand with the story.
I read this with my 3 year old niece, and she was giggling away whilst I read the story. She loved the penguin, and whilst she doesn't necessarily understand all of the story - she enjoys the interactions, and how each page brought something new to her, to make her laugh.
