My first impression of the cover was that it was going to be a romance novel, which is something I'm not interested in at all. Yet it wasn't until I read the 'more info' section that it wasn't about romance at all, it was about a wife who has walked away from her husband, her children and left her life behind her. This concept is intriguing to me and certainly seems like something I'd enjoy reading.

Reading the extract was interesting as the chapters are written from different characters perspective, which is a great way to see how each character thinks and feels. However the main character of this novel is Helen, yet we never have a chapter based on her view. Everyone talks about her, everyone knows about her, apart from us - the reader. This concept is very unique and is why it's so beautifully written. You'll see how each character feels about Helen and how they view her life. I'd love to read further on towards the end, where hopefully we'd finally be able to see what Helen is like from her own chapter. As well as this find out why she doing all of this and see what her reason behind it was.

I love the idea of this book and it's written very clever alongside this. I would happily purchase this book, just to see how it plays out in the end. Some novel can be predictable, but at this current time I have no idea why Helen walked away and that's what makes me want to buy this book. Therefore because of the way it's written and the cover is equally as beautiful, I'd like to review this extract with four stars.
