The multi-tasking step-mother of two seems to have put her uber-organisational skills to good use to prepare her exit from the family home in a calm and efficient manner, matching her outfit and casually waving to their elderly neighbour on her way to the tube station.
The fact that this is the last time anyone saw her is quite unsettling, especially when you observe the impact of the situation on two young children when no one collects them from school. The husband seems a little domestically incapable (so far anyway!) and is a little too quick to bark at the police - it's early days so I haven't got the measure of him just yet!

I can see this being a thoroughly interesting read and I give a big thumbs up to see the chapter headings are the name of the character whose turn it is to narrate their side of the story. It sounds like it's not a simple case of discovering the whereabouts of a missing person but also processing the emotional aftershocks of the event, whatever the cause may be.
