"When She Left" by Rosie Fiore is the first novel I've read by this author and I'm certain it won't be my last. This novel was beautiful, engaging, moving and heart-wrenching, leaving me always wanted to read onwards. When I first read the extract I wanted to read it and now I want another book following the new life of Helen, as it was just such an amazing book.

My first impression I was worried we wouldn't hear from Helen and it would just be from the perspective of other characters. But you do eventually meet Helen and hear her side of the story. Helen was probably one of my favourite characters from this novel, because I just felt that she was the most down to earth and relatable character. The woman has gone through an awful lot and I just wanted her to have a happy ending, yet that ending is currently unknown.

There was some points in the novel where I found Sam boring and that was mostly when he was with Lara. I wasn't a big fan of Lara and I don't really understand her purpose in the novel, apart from being a bit on the side for Sam. I wish they would of made an effort to make the relationship work and then have the bombshell. Yet it was just constant arguments and fighting, that concept soon became boring.

Overall I do believe this novel was beautiful and I did shed a couple of tears at it. I'd love to read more of Rosie Fiore work and to see what else she can come up with. I would thoroughly recommend this novel to anyone who loves romance and a tad of mystery intertwined. What an amazing novel!
