This is just fabulous. I love the multi narrators. All is certainly not as it seems. I was expecting a sort of life crisis where the mother needs to find herself. That may be part of this story but not all.
Characters are well drawn and recogniseable. Those who have frequented the school gates will find this to be the case. The children too are well developed. What is refreshing is that the narrators don't have the cynisism we see creeping into writing a lot these days.
The pace of writing is very good with just the right balance between description abd dialogue.
I genuinely wanted to go on reading. This us a book to get lost in. The kind you find a whole afternoon has vanished as you are absorbed. Clever writing.
