First I would like to say that the cover of this book is a true representation of the story. This story begins with Helen leaving her two stepdaughters standing uncollected at the school gate. After the initial start of the storyline I did think it got a bit boring and depressing, with it going over the same bits over and over again, but after the first quarter I thought it perked up and I was hooked, wondering where this story was going. It's a story about a woman who is very unsure of herself and unfortunately her family suffers from her actions, especially the two little girls. I never guessed what the outcome would be, but I would have liked it to have continued on a bit more so we could see how all the characters faired in the end.
